2. Create/post your portfolio website URL

During Weeks 1-8, you will develop your portfolio website with Google Sites (a free app from G Suite that comes with your BroncoMail account). If you already have a professional portfolio website, review these Q/As before proceeding Links to an external site..

Let's get started! Follow this job aid to create your portfolio website Links to an external site. (if you chose to use Google Sites instead of another software).

As directed in the job aid, you are asked to create and develop the following three web pages first: 

  • Home - This page gives the viewers the first impression of your website. Professionally introduce yourself and briefly tell the viewers what they can expect from your portfolio website. 
  • Resume (or About) - You may present your resume, or design this page as an About page to tell the viewers more about yourself and your professional work. It's up to you.
  • Contact - How do you want the viewers (potentially new employers) to contact you? Present your contact information. Share your social media if appropriate.

Keep in mind that this is your professional website - it should look professional and aesthetically pleasing! 

Post a message that includes:

  • the URL of your portfolio website:
    • As instructed in the last step of the job aid Links to an external site., if you named your portfolio site with your first and last name such as "LoriSimkins", the URL of your portfolio site would be "https://sites.google.com/boisestate.edu/LoriSimkins".
    • Make sure you publish your portfolio website at the end of your editing; otherwise, we cannot see your website or the new changes you made to it.
