Directions: During Weeks 6 and 7, complete your OPWL Program Learning Goals document

You will complete your OPWL Program Learning Goals Word document based on one or both of your work samples and upload it to your portfolio website. One way of doing this is to create a menu option on your web page (as shown in the picture below) or another is to create a hyperlink in text (we practice in step 8). See the sample site for inspiration.

  • Table 1. OPWL Learning Goals - to explain how you accomplished OPWL Program Learning Goals during your work sample(s)  
  • Table 2. OPWL Tools/Phases - to indicate which tools you used during your work sample(s)

Which work sample(s) to use in Table 1?

  • You can refer to one of your work samples designated as your primary work sample.
  • If the primary work sample is not sufficient to demonstrate some of the OPWL program learning goals, you can refer to both work samples.
  • By referring to one or both of your work samples, you should be able to demonstrate all OPWL program learning goals. 

Length of Table 1 - If you follow all of the tips presented in the OPWL Program Learning Goals document Links to an external site., your Table 1 is generally about 3 pages long.

Which tools to include in Table 2? - Whatever tools you referred to in Table 1 should be included in Table 2. 

Evaluation Criteria for Table 1 - Be sure to use the OPWL Learning Goals rubric Links to an external site. and the Written criteria Links to an external site. in the OPWL Portfolio Review Rubric Links to an external site. as both your self-assessment and feedback tool. You should be able to earn a score of 4s and 5s on all written criteria!
