9. Develop your PPT, practice, and post your PPT file and practice experiences (during Week 8)
Develop your PPT file
Your portfolio review will start with your 15 min presentation to your review panel via Zoom. You want to use a PPT file during your presentation.
Watch the sample portfolio presentations by former OPWL students who are now OPWL alumni! They permitted us to share their presentation files with you.
Alexis Bolick (SP24) used Evaluation and Instructional Design projects.
Ose Ndebbio (SP24) used Instructional Design and Process Management Lab projects.
Marc Witkowski (SP24) used Instructional Design and Evaluation projects.
Valentina Paronetto (SP24) used Needs Assessment and Learning Experience Design projects.
Joel Strasser (FA20) used Needs Assessment and Evaluation projects.
You can see their presentations are slightly different in terms of the format and content used. You can choose your own way to summarize/highlight the two cases in your portfolio.

Ready? Go ahead and develop your PPT file and practice several times.
Practice with someone (a classmate, friend, or family member)
You should practice your portfolio summary presentation and Q/A session with a classmate or your friend/family.
- To find a partner(s) from your classmates, please post a message and share your contact info (email and/or phone number) to schedule to do your practice together via Zoom.
- If you have difficulty finding a partner (due to schedule conflict), you may practice with your friend or family member.
During your practice,
- You should make your 15-min presentation with your PPT file first and go onto a mock-up Q/A session.
- Ask the partner to use these sample questions about OPWL learning goals Links to an external site. during your Q/A practice - how would you answer the questions if your reviewers asked those questions?
- Your partner (a classmate or friend/family) should use these portfolio rubric tables Links to an external site. to assess the quality of your performance (they are the actual rubric tables that your portfolio judges will use).
After your practice, ask how well you did and review your scores. You may revise your PPT file based on the feedback.
Share Your Work
Now, post your PPT file and summarize your practice experience including 1. how many practices you did with a partner(s) and/or alone, 2. what is the level of readiness you feel after the practice, and 3. if there are areas that you think you need to practice more if any.
Evaluation criteria - The PPT File and Practice rubric Download PPT File and Practice rubric will be used to evaluate your PPT file development and practice sessions.
