Linking the Experience and Academic Coursework

  1. What part of your academic work has seemed important or relevant to you in your work at your internship this semester? You don't have to answer all of the following, but these can help you think through this question:
    • Is there a particular course you've taken in the program that's been helpful?
    • Or a specific assignment that has come to mind?
    • A specific teacher or comment that's guided your approach to the internship?
    • Or is there an overall skill or mindset from the program that has helped you?
    • Or, the nuclear option (which you can be honest with us about): Has the program not really had any effect on your internship work experience and success?
  2. Choose any other academic experience that has seemed especially relevant and beneficial to you at your internship. This could be:
    • Another course or teacher or assignment, different from the one described above
    • Some previous internship experience
    • A course or teacher from high school or at another college
    • An academic experience that you failed or did badly in, and learned from, to do better now
